Xiaomi Launches Buds 6 with Snapdragon Sound and Harman Tuning

Xiaomi Buds 6 true wireless earbuds with Snapdragon Sound and Harman audio tuning.

Xiaomi just unveiled its latest audio gear, the Xiaomi Buds 6, at a launch event in China. The new half-in-ear true wireless earbuds pack high-end features like Snapdragon Sound and Harman tuning, aiming for audiophile quality in a comfortable design.

They launched alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone and the Xiaomi Watch 5. For now, the Buds 6 are only available in China, with no official word yet on a global or Philippine release.

Premium Audio Tech in a Lightweight Package

The Buds 6 are built for sound quality first. They feature a triple-magnet driver with a 24K gold-plated diaphragm, which is a fancy way of saying they’re engineered for clarity and power. The audio profile was personally tuned by Harman’s Golden Ear team.

You get two main listening modes: Harman Audio EFX for a curated sound and a Master mode for a purist, lossless experience. They support aptX Lossless and Hi-Res Audio codecs, promising CD-level quality over a wireless connection.

They come with adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC). A three-mic setup with AI algorithms can supposedly cut ambient call noise by up to 95 decibels.

Designed for All-Day Comfort and Use

Xiaomi focused heavily on comfort with a biomimetic curved design. Each earbud weighs just 4.4 grams. The company says the contact area with your ear is 8.8% larger than before for a more secure fit, while the stem is 12% narrower.

Battery life, You get up to 6.5 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC off. The charging case extends total battery life to a hefty 35 hours. They also support handy features like dual-device connectivity, spatial audio, and even Apple’s Find My network.

For durability, they carry an IP54 rating for sweat and water resistance. Connectivity is handled by the latest Bluetooth 5.4 standard.

The starting price in China is CNY 699. That roughly converts to around PHP 5,846.55. Pricing for the Philippines is not yet available as global availability has not been announced.

On paper, the Xiaomi Buds 6 look like a compelling package, mixing top-tier audio tech with a comfortable, semi-in-ear design. It’s a direct play for users who find fully in-ear buds uncomfortable but don’t want to sacrifice sound or features.

What do you think? Are semi-in-ear buds with ANC and lossless audio something you’d consider, especially for long listening sessions? Let us know in the comments below.
