HUAWEI nova 15 Series Launches in China with HarmonyOS 6

HUAWEI has officially unveiled its new nova 15 series in China. The lineup includes three models: the nova 15, nova 15 Pro, and the top-tier nova 15 Ultra. All three phones are already on sale in the Chinese market.

nova 15: The Entry Point

The standard nova 15 features a 6.7-inch flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2412×1084 pixels. It is powered by the Kirin 8020 processor, paired with 12GB of RAM.

For power, it packs a massive 6,000mAh silicon-based battery with support for 100W wired fast charging. The phone also carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

Pro and Ultra Models Step It Up

The nova 15 Pro and nova 15 Ultra step up to larger 6.84-inch LTPO OLED displays. They are powered by more advanced chipsets, with the Pro using the Kirin 9020S and the Ultra using the Kirin 9010S.

Both the Pro and Ultra models boast superior IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings. The nova 15 Pro features a 6,500mAh battery, while the Ultra adds support for wireless fast charging.

Camera and Connectivity Highlights

The camera systems vary across the models. The nova 15 has a triple rear setup with a 50MP main lens and a 50MP front camera.

The nova 15 Ultra stands out with a triple 50MP RYYB rear camera system. Its main sensor features a variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/4.0 and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It also includes a periscope telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom.

A key feature for the Ultra is its support for advanced satellite connectivity. This enables messaging and calls in off-grid scenarios. The series also supports WiFi 7, Beidou satellite image messaging, and 2.4GHz StarLink off-grid connectivity.

All three models run the latest HarmonyOS 6 out of the box. This brings smarter AI tools, easier sharing, and improved connectivity features to the user experience.
