The Adobe Photoshop Google Chrome extension has been released, letting users edit images directly in the browser without the desktop app. It supports quick tasks like background removal, color and exposure adjustments, and preset cropping sizes for Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
It’s fairly simple, as users can save images from the web via right clicking or pressing the Photoshop icon. From here, you can open them in Photoshop Web, edit, then download the results back to your device.
Adobe says this is aimed at creators, designers, and marketers who need lightweight, web-first editing tools. They’re also planning to expand the extension with more functions over time.
Adobe’s also pushing to add AI-powered assistants and Firefly models across Photoshop, Express, and other apps. This should bode well for creators who need faster, template-like edits accessible via browsers.
