Affordable Data per GB coming soon in Globe Telecom

With slowly rolling out of the 700mhz spectrum we might see pricing scheme changes with different telcos anytime soon. With the Initiative to have #WeWant1stWorldInternetPH Globe breakdown a table that compares the cost per GB vs other Asian countries with the current pricing. Philippines might get a better and affordable data allocation per GB and possibly be cheaper than Singapore and Malaysia. The table below shows a Php199 cost per GB which is as of the moment the pricing of Globe Telecom. But once the 700mhz have fully rolled out we can expect or probably get a lower cost than the current 199 per GB price.

I’m really excited to see what local telcos can offer with the wide utilization of the 700mhz hopefully this will be the change that we finally hope for years.
