Apple has provided an update to their ‘obsolete’ product list with five devices added. This includes the Apple Watch Series 4 Nike models, Apple Watch Series 4 Hermes models, iPad Pro 12.9-inch (second gen), iPhone SE (first gen), and the Beats Pill 2.0.

Apple adds five products to ‘obsolete’ list

For reference, once a device has been added to this list, Apple will no longer offer repairs for the model. This is also inclusive of their authorized service providers, replacement parts, etc.

The update is part of Apple’s annual cycle of phasing out aging hardware. Being rendered obsolete means that the device has reached the end of its support life.

Of course, owners can still use the devices mentioned. However, again, repairs will have to be made from third-party service providers.

The announcement also includes aged AirPort products as the company continues to retire legacy accessories. It’s been apparent that the company has turned their focus to more recent developments in hardware and services.

For those interested, here’s Apple’s official full list of obsolete devices.
