ASUS ROG Cetra Open Wireless earbuds announced

ASUS ROG Cetra Open wireless gaming earbuds with open-ear design and RGB lighting.

The ASUS ROG Cetra Open Wireless earbuds have been announced as their latest pair of open-ear wearables. This offering caters to gaming, music, and even workouts.

For features, the buds support dual-mode connectivity via Bluetooth and offer ultra-low-latency. It achieves this through its ROG SpeedNova wireless technology (2.4GHz). In addition, the buds include a USB-C dongle that allows passthrough charging.

In terms of design, the buds have 14.2mm diamond-like carbon-coated drivers promising crisp highs, deeper bass, and a wider soundstage. It also comes with onboard audio modes like Phantom Bass, which boosts perceived low-end and Immersion Mode for cutting ambient noise.

The buds come with soft liquid-silicone ear hooks and a detachable reflective neck strap to provide a secure fit. Plus, it comes with physical buttons offering reliable control even with sweat or rain to avoid accidental touches.

Speaking of, it comes with an IPX5 rating for splash resistance. Uptime-wise, the buds can run for up to 16 hours on a full charge over Bluetooth. This is with sound modes, RGB, and its mic off. If users are in a pinch, a quick 15-minute charge can deliver roughly 3 hours of playback.
