Globe GoWiFi in AyalaMalls are not FREE anymore

GoWifi is a FREE Wifi service offered by Globe in partnership with AyalaMalls so that users can surf for FREE whenever they are in any GoWiFi accessible areas. Although the service is limited to 1 hour only but users can extend another 30miuntes — 1hour by answering a survey before you can access the web. It was really a convenient service offered by Globe that we hope to last longer.

But surprisingly one of our fellow tech blogger friend Mark of Filipino Tech Addict discovered that in order to use the service users will now need to pay and Globe give choices of GoWifi 50 or GoWifi 99 here is the difference of the two.

• GoWiFi 50 — Php50 / 1.5GB + 500MB FREE* Accelerated YouTube videos / Valid for 3days
• GoWifi 99 — Php99 / 1.5GB + 1GB FREE* Accelerated YouTube Videos / Valid for 30days

It was a bit disappointing because the FREE surfing they are offering is UNLIMITED ACCESS for 1 hour and yes users gets the high-speed 100mbps connection from that connection and I’m proud to say I was one of the happy customers of that whenever I visit any AyalaMalls especially in Glorietta Makati.

Since now after the given FREE hour usage we now need to pay for a certain amount well I am not against that but I was hoping we can still have the UNLIMITED ACCESS rather than the limited 1.5GB.

So, what are your thoughts on this update guys let me know and share us your experience with the given service, are you happy with the new options when using the GoWiFi. Hopefully the GoWiFI Plus will have a better offerings rather than a limited GB usage.
