Google launches Lyria 3, a free full song generator via Gemini

Alongside Gemini 3.1 Pro, Google has launched Lyria 3, an AI music generator integrated directly into the Gemini app and web interface. Users can tap a “Create music” button, type a description, or even upload an image, and Lyria 3 will generate a full track with vocals and instrumentation.

In demos, Lyria 3 produced styles ranging from bluegrass barbecue anthems and high‑energy J‑pop to retro synthwave, Hindi ballads, and Spanish city pop, each guided by prompts or reference images. The feature is currently free to use, giving creators an accessible way to prototype soundtrack ideas or social content without leaving the Gemini ecosystem.
