HONOR 500 Pro, HONOR 500 now official

The HONOR 500 series is now official, which includes the HONOR 500 Pro and HONOR 500. This is a mid-range smartphone line fitted with great cameras, battery life, and software features.

Both devices boast a 200-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor paired with a 12-megapixel ultra wide. However, the Pro model has a 50-megapixel telephoto with HONOR’s own tweaks to stabilization to help with steadier zoom-ins.

The devices also introduce front-and-rear Live Portrait modes, six film-style color modes, and Live Passerby Removal. Plus, it comes with 4K-to-Live conversion to help users stay social media ready.

Powering the HONOR 500 is a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while the Pro model packs a Snapdragon 8 Elite. Notably, the Pro model comes with the HONOR Phantom Engine 3.0. This addition offers more stable performance in titles like Honor of Kings and Genshin Impact.
Both devices also pack an 8,000mAh battery with 27W reverse wired charging. Plus, both phones offer 80W of wired fast charging, while the Pro model has an additional 50W of wireless charging.

Design-wise, both phones have a slim 7.75mm body with thin bezels and an IP68/IP69/IP69K rating. The HONOR 500 line will ship with MagicOS 10 with an AI button.

Lastly, the Pro model will come with an HONOR C1+ RF chip for better network stability. Color options include Black, Blue, Pink, and Silver, and will be available in China.
