HONOR Watch GS 5 announced

The HONOR Watch GS 5 has been announced as an affordable wearable. It joins the unveiling of the Magic8 Pro Air and Magic8 RSR Porsche Design.

The watch has a 44mm aluminum alloy case and a circular 1.32-inch AMOLED screen peaking at 1,500 nits. In addition, the rear panel uses reinforced polymer fiber and comes with black and beige leather straps.

The watch weighs 26 grams and measures 9.9mm thick coming with a single side button. The device is also IP68 dust and water resistant with 5ATM rating.

Health features include sudden cardiac arrest screening and cardiovascular risk assessment. The watch provides early warnings for sleep apnea, atrial fibrillation, irregular rhythms, and premature beats.

It offers continuous monitoring of heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep HRV, and stress. Battery life reaches up to 24 days without always-on display or nine days with AOD enabled.

The device uses a 495mAh silicon-carbon battery. The Watch GS 5 works with Android 6.0 or later and iOS 9.0 or later.

It features Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, five satellite positioning systems, NFC, and built-in microphone and speakers for voice calls. The HONOR Watch GS 5 is listed in China for CNY 699 (~P6,000).
