Good news for drivers in Metro Manila. The MMDA has officially added GCash as a new payment option for settling traffic fines, Chairman Atty. Romando Artes announced.
This move aims to make paying violations faster and more convenient, letting you clear fines directly from your phone without needing to visit an MMDA office.
The announcement came alongside updates to the MMDA’s “May Huli Ka” website. The platform now allows motorists to view evidence of their violations online, participate in an e-contest, and access a dedicated portal for vehicle-related concerns.
According to Artes, these changes are part of the agency’s effort to improve transparency and provide easier access to traffic information.
Here’s a quick look at what’s new:
GCash Payments: You can now pay MMDA fines through the GCash app.
Online Evidence Viewing: Check the photos or videos related to your traffic violation on the “May Huli Ka” website.
*Dedicated Portal: A new section for submitting vehicle-related concerns and inquiries.
These online services are already in effect. The MMDA encourages the public to use them to save time and ensure smoother processing of penalties.
What do you think—will this make you more likely to settle fines promptly?
