Personal Intelligence has been added to AI Mode in Google Search. The feature personalizes results using information from Gmail and Google Photos.

It combines global knowledge with user context for more useful answers. Notably, Personal Intelligence is available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US.

The feature is in English only, part of an opt-in Labs experiment. Workspace business, enterprise, and education accounts cannot access it.

The update allows Search to suggest products based on past purchases and can also create travel plans with bookings from Gmail. The feature also includes photo memories from Google Photos.

Google suggests fun uses like asking what movie title would fit your life. These answers mix personal data with Gemini 3’s AI capabilities.

Privacy protections are built in. Connections to Gmail and Photos are opt-in and can be disabled anytime. Google says Gemini 3 does not train directly on Gmail or Photos content. Users can provide feedback or correct inaccurate results.

Invitations to try Personal Intelligence will appear in Search settings. Users can find it under Search personalization and Connected Content Apps.

Communication graduate, closet cynic, and kid at heart. Duane is a rare person to find, quite literally. He often takes to himself but has proven his mettle in tech media with his quick wits. Well, the portfolio of scriptwriting, web content, and public relations help too, we suppose. As a homebody, he often spends his time on the streaming platform Twitch or ‘farming’ gaming clips with friends. He is also an avid fan of round glasses and anything relative to blueberries.
