Philippines to restore access to Grok AI chatbot

The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) will restore access to Grok in the Philippines. The AI chatbot was previously blocked over child safety concerns.

CICC Undersecretary Renato Paraiso announced Wednesday that the developer committed to removing image manipulation tools. Paraiso said Grok AI reached out and stated its platform will no longer use any content manipulation.

The agency will continue monitoring the app after lifting the ban. CICC wants to ensure Grok complies with local rules and regulations.

Grok was blocked last week over concerns it could generate sexualized images. This included content posing risks to minors. The ban followed a global crackdown on explicit content across social media platforms.

Well, the portfolio of scriptwriting, web content, and public relations help too, we suppose. As a homebody, he often spends his time on the streaming platform Twitch or ‘farming’ gaming clips with friends. He is also an avid fan of round glasses and anything relative to blueberries.
