PhysicEdit is a new LoRA-based image editor that focuses on physically plausible transformations. Built on top of Qwen ImageEdit, it can edit photos to simulate refraction through glass, structural collapse, thermal changes, decay, and other physics-based effects.
In evaluations, PhysicEdit produces more realistic results than models like NanoBanana and GPT-Image 1.5 on tasks such as melting butter, freezing puddles, or collapsing card towers. It can also simulate growth and decay in plants or material changes over time in response to user prompts.
The developers have released their code on GitHub, giving creators a way to “advance” a scene forward in time while staying grounded in real-world behavior.
