PLDT HOME Broadband Hits 1Million DSL subscribers

Manila, Philippines — PLDT HOME DSL, which was recently deemed the strongest broadband brand for homes in the country by recent surveys, has reached the one-millionth-subscriber mark as of end-2014.

According to PLDT EVP and Head of Home Business Ariel Fermin, the growth was driven by the company’s extensive facility roll-out and relentless efforts to provide compelling multimedia content.

“In 2014, we have invested heavily in improving and expanding our infrastructure so we can reach more homes and provide them the strongest connections,” he said. “We also recognize the value of compelling content in the growth equation, which is why we continuously enhance our portfolio of multimedia offerings for music, games, sports and TV shows.“

This year, PLDT HOME DSL, together with the telecommunication company’s flagship landline brand PLDT HOME Telpad, has launched the PLDT HOME FAM CAM as part of its continued efforts to deliver an integrated approach to multimedia services catering to the home.

The PLDT HOME FAM CAM is a home monitoring system which features a monitoring camera and software which parents can use to watch over their kids from wherever they are. It is currently being offered to all existing PLDT HOME DSL Plan 1299 and PLDT HOME Telpad Plan 1699 subscribers and up. It is also available to all PLDT HOME Fibr subscribers.

PLDT HOME DSL scored the highest among all Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for both signal strength and internet speed in a nationwide market study conducted by the Philippine Survey and Research Study (PSRC) early this year. Consumers voted it as the Most Trusted Internet Provider for six years now in the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards. PLDT HOME DSL also bagged awards in the recently concluded Araw Values Awards.
