Sending text messages from your computer is pretty handy but it needs a separate software to accomplish that and only few apps are implementing it, recently Apple launched their Yosemite OS and it has that feature where you can receive text messages and even receive calls from your laptop/desktop sync thru your iPhones. but that’s apple so if you want to have the same functionality you can go check out the Pushbullet app and Google Chrome extension which lets you push notifications with ease and from their recent update they added the feature to Send Texts Right From Your Computer by just using the Google Chrome Extension.
