The realme Neo8 is now official as the brand’s latest high-end smartphone. Its highlights include its processor, battery, and unique design with an RGB light strip.

The strip activates when receiving notifications or charging. In addition, the device is IP69-rated for dust and water resistance.

The phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. The phone also packs an 8,000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC wired fast charging.

The phone also supports bypass charging, which sends power directly to the motherboard to prevent overheating during heavy use. Display-wise, the phone sports a 6.78-inch screen with FHD+ resolution and 165Hz refresh rate.

A 16-megapixel selfie camera sits on top of the display. The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel IMX896 main sensor with OIS.

Additional cameras feature a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 with periscope lens and an 8-megapixel ultra wide. The realme Neo8 is currently available in China in four configurations.

Pricing starts at CNY 2,599 (~P22,000) for the 12GB/256GB model. The top 16GB/1TB variant costs CNY 3,899 (~P33,000). We’ll update readers should this device be available in the Philippines.
