Samsung Announces T1 Portable External SSD

SSD’s are blazing fast and once you use it you’ll never be coming back to Spinning Hard Drives. Samsung unveiled today their newest Portable External SSD called T1 a high-speed compact storage having just a size of 71.0 x 9.2 x 53.2 mm that you can bring anywhere and fits in pocket. Powered by Samsung’s proprietary 3D Vertical NAND (V-NAND) technology with a transfer rate up to 450MB/sec. that is four times faster than the traditional External Hard Drives.

It takes only eight seconds to transfer a 3GB movie file and 27 seconds for a 10GB movie file compared to an external HDD which takes 26 seconds and 85 seconds, respectively.

Available in 250 gigabyte (GB), 500GB and 1 terabyte (TB) storage capacities, the Portable SSD T1 will launch globally in 15 countries across the United States, European and Asian markets later this month, with a starting price of USD 179.99
