Smart activates 700MHz cell site in Tanay, Rizal and gets 222mbps speed

Immediately after the approval of the NTC last week for the use of the frequencies 720.5–738 and 775.5 to 793Mhz.

Smart communications Inc. fires up its 700MHz cell site in Tanay rizal today. In a recent post on Facebook, showing a speed test using it cell site in Tanay, Rizal got a whooping 222mbps for the download speed and 28mbps for the upload speed.

Although we still need to see if more users can affect the stability of this rate but looking on the positive side we’re glad local telcos are doing their best to enhance our Internet experience in the Philippines.
