Visa card payments now accepted at 7-Eleven stores in the Philippines

Customers can now make purchases from 7-Eleven stores in the Philippines via Visa card payments. This includes credit and debit cards, and follows a pilot program that started with just 11 stores last October.

As per Visa Philippines Country Manager Jeffrey Navarro, the service is already live in roughly 700 outlets. While this is mostly in Metro Manila, rapid expansion is in development.

Visa aimed to enable card payments in about a thousand branches nationwide before 2025 ended. They also plan to make it available in nearly 3,000 stores by the end of the first quarter of 2026.

Navarro says the card acceptance benefits not only local customers, but tourists as well. He highlighted that travelers often rely on modern fintech for everyday spending.

The rollout also supports the country’s shift away from traditional payments with physical cash. This translates into steady growth in terms of cashless transactions within the country.
