The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) has launched ScamSafe. This is a new platform that lets the public report online scams and access educational materials on avoiding them.
The platform was built to address unreported cases that allows criminals to operate undetected. The CICC urges victims and witnesses to use ScamSafe, the CICC 1326 hotline, or to message their social media.
Its rollout follows the agency’s report of a total of 9,834 online fraud incidents from January to December 2025. The CICC warns that scammers remain active despite the number lowering from 14,529 incidents in 2024.
The CICC also noted that this was more apparent during the holidays when online shopping, payments, and donations are rampant. As such, the agency is coordinating with law enforcement, telcos, and more to block fraudulent numbers and websites.
Further, the CICC is planning targeted information campaigns and additional training for government workers handling cybercrime. The agency will focus on vulnerable sectors that are likely to be affected by digital fraud.
