Anthropic has announced the Claude Cowork AI agent. The agent works by tapping into your computer’s folders and organizing them with AI.
Of course, users still have to grant it access. From here, Claude Cowork can organize, rename, or manage the files inside.
For instance, if a user has a folder with receipts, the agent can organize them all and create expense spreadsheets. It also enables Claude to connect with other apps to make separate documents.
Plus, Cowork is compatible with the Claude Chrome extension for completing tasks needing browsing access. Still, it’s still in its beta testing phase and will have some unintended kinks here and there.
For now, Cowork is recommended on non-sensitive items as Anthropic warns against potential prompt injection attacks. In addition, it’s only currently available to macOS users with a price of $100 monthly via a Claude Max subscription.
